Ilika announces changes in personnel on the Board of Directors. Dr. René Penning De Vries the CTO of NXP Semiconductors joins the Board of Ilika as an Independent non-executive director. This appointment will further enhance the Company’s corporate governance and reinforce its strategic capabilities. Dr. Penning de Vries joined Philips in 1984 and held a number of positions throughout his time with the company having responsibility for process and library development, design technology, IP creation and system technology. He has been CTO and member of the NXP Executive Management team since September 2006. Jack Boyer, Chairman of Ilika, stated,

“We are delighted to have attracted Dr. René Penning de Vries to the Board, the strength and breadth of his experience and expertise will help the Company continue to develop in its chosen markets”.

Dr Karl-Gerhard Seifert and Mr. David Norwood resigned as non-executive directors of Ilika. Dr Seifert leaves the Board to focus his attention on his specialty chemicals business in Germany whilst Mr. Norwood will be leaving the UK and will be unable to provide the level support for Ilika he has hitherto provided. Ilika’s Chairman, Jack Boyer said

“Both Dr Seifert and David Norwood have made considerable contributions to the Company’s development over the time of their directorships. Their insights into the dynamics of our rapidly evolving target markets significantly assisted Ilika in its growth and future direction and we wish them all the best."
